Letter to All Kai Ming Parents Regarding Re-opening
Office/Center Closed Extended to 5/31
Mayor Breed extended the Shelter-In-Place Order for San Francisco until the end of May.
(May 31, 2020) due to COVID-19. Therefore, all Kai Ming’s centers and the main office will continue to be
closed. We will resume services on Monday, June 1, 2020.
During this time, Kai Ming will continue to provide the following:
● Regular updates through our Kai Ming Parent Resources COVID-19 website. The website
contains educational, health, family, and community resources. Here is the link:
kaimingheadstart.wixsite.com/kmcovid19support.
● Weekly meals every Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at our St. Luke’s site. Please let your
Family Advocate know as soon as possible if you are in need of food.
● Through a new platform (Class Dojo) our Teachers will be communicating with you and your children
and continue to provide educational services.
● Our Family Advocates will check in with you on a weekly basis to find out how you are doing and if
there is anything you need.
Please continue to take precautions during this time to ensure your family’s health and safety. We will notify
you if there is any change or update regarding this matter.

hasta el fin del mes de Mayo de 2020 (31 de Mayo), por COVID-19. Kai Ming continuarán cerrado hasta
Junio 1, 2020.

Office/Center Closed Extended to 5/1
This week, we learned that Mayor Breed extended the Shelter-In-Place Order for San Francisco until May 1, 2020. Also, the San Francisco Unified School District extended closure of schools until May 1. Therefore, all Kai Ming’s centers and main office will also continue to be closed. We will resume services on Monday, May 4, 2020.
During this time, we are here to serve you. We have essential staff working to meet your needs. If you are in need of food or any resources, please reach out to your Family Advocate. We are providing food on every Monday from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m., at the St. Luke’s Center. Please let your Family Advocate know as soon as possible if you are in need of food. Also, your child’s teacher provided educational materials to assist you in working with your child at home. We will continue to provide you with more materials. Our Family Advocates will check in with you on a weekly basis to find out how you are doing and if there is anything you need.

Our management and support staff are working remotely currently, if you have any questions or concerns, please reach Kai Ming at (415) 982-4777. You can also call 311 or text COVID19SF to 888-777 to sign up for the City’s alert service for official updates.
Also, Kai Ming will be providing meals every Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at our St Luke Center located at 1755 Clay St, San Francisco, CA 94109.
